F. Pitching & Batting are both a huge headache again for this seasons Yankees. With Cole & Stanton more or less ‘done’ for the season & Judge remaining in his baseball hibernation until at least June, there is very little to be excited about the current roster & how they might perform. Ever heard of Carrasco, Cruz or Gomez as pitchers? Nope me neither. Is this the best we can do? Rodon normally runs out of gas by mid-season & is average at best. He’s no Opening Day pitcher. I’m certain Leiter JR gets into the team on nepotism alone & Stroman was washed up when he played for the Cubs! For the 2nd season of me complaining, I simply have no logical idea how Oswaldo Cabrera is on our team? Can anyone explain as I’m completely lost. He can neither bat nor field. Other Yankee fans have explained to me that they love his enthusiasm despite his lack of ability which is a ridiculous thing to say at this level. I’m sure those poor chaps waiting to go ‘over the top’ at The Battle of the Somme were equally inspired to do well but sometimes you just have to concede that things ain’t going to go your way. He looks lost as sea constantly despite being around now for a few seasons. I just don’t get it? Laughably we have acquired Goldschmidt to fill a shirt somewhere somehow. Didn’t the Yankees get rid of Rizzo because of his bad back to only sign a similar ailing over-the-hill player with the same injury? Volpe arrogantly considers himself better than God at everything he does, Bellinger has a questionable temperament & ‘The Alien’ Dominguez seems to have completely forgotten how to play ball? The rest as they say, are there to make up the numbers.

E. The Dodgers are the modern-day version of the late 1990’s Yankees. They play as a team & look invincible. They could easily win the WS for the next few years untouched.

A hopeful prediction that the mamaluke who is Aaron Boone will finally be removed as Yankee Manager. It’s fair to say that the writing has been on the wall for a few seasons now as his Management skills are similar to his commentary ineptness for ESPN in not actually being that great. Despite the Yankees turning up for last seasons WS – I’m being kind here given the baseball masterclass delivered by the Dodgers – I honestly didn’t think they are a good all round unit. Yes theres a few individuals that shine but they’re simply not consistent or play as a well-oiled machine like the Dodgers. A very un-Yankee-like thing I noticed last year was that the team started to look for excuses for simply awful baseball. This is something I cannot abide. We’re not the Trump administration. If you mess-up (whether it be via Signal or semaphore) then own up. Life is simpler that way as no-one likes being taken for a fool – right you 77M?
I forecast one of the poorest seasons for years for the 27 time Champions which is long overdue. Even the Steinbrenner’s cant save this sniveling little ‘Yes’ man from keeping his position unless I’ve not paying attention for the past few seasons? Odd that Cashman seems to survive despite his regular errors in judgment? He really is the nuclear fall-out cockroach of the Baseball world. The current feeling in the Bronx is that Boone is on his last strike & that perhaps new blood in the form of someone like Derek Jeter might inspire new ideas when the time is right. Jeter has already been quoted as saying that he doesn’t need the work which speaks volumes. I would have Girardi back in a NY minute. Only time will tell.
Good luck to everyone taking part in this wonderful competition. Thanks again Mr Miller! Youre the best for a Sawks fan……
