You are a bit too optimistic. If anyone could fully express in 1,000 words or even 10,000 words what each of these pictures say, they are a far better writer than all of the wordsmiths who have graced our planet thus far.
There are no words or combinations of words that can convey the looks or feelings or emotions or trust or love or happiness (the dictionary is full of hundreds shades of nuance) being exchanged by these fathers and their children.
All too often we take pictures that catch our families and others in the act of looking at the camera and not at anyone. But those are clearly “safe pictures” that are frozen in time and that convey nothing about how the subjects got there or what they were doing two seconds before the picture was taken, or what they were thinking or feeling when the shutter moved.
Risky pictures show people doing things, particularly doing that most dangerous/intimate of actions…..looking directly at another person. These are the pictures that inform and liberate the soul. Sometimes a great picture can capture that look in the eyes and on the face of a person who is, indeed, looking directly through the camera lens into the camera’s soul but it is only the skilled, patient and fortunate photographer who can regularly take that kind of picture. It is not an accident that you live with such a person
These pictures are worth 1000/10,000 times their weight in AGS scale Triple 0 diamonds. Nay. That implies these scenes could be replicated. These pictures capture a unique moment. that can never be duplicated. They are truly priceless.
Mount them and place them where they can be seen daily and each time they are seen, utter the prayer “Thank You”.
