In a series of videos and articles, the Washington Post this morning lays out details not previously disclosed about what Russia was up to in the 2016 US elections and how Pres. Obama did and didn’t respond.
While the articles focus primarily on the Obama’s administration’s handling of what was occurring, it also gives the reader background and information about the role of others in Washington and Moscow – the intelligence agencies, candidate Trump, Majority Leader McConnell, President Putin, etc.
No matter whether you are a Democrat (I am) or a Republican, no matter your views of Obama, Trump, Putin, US Intelligence agencies, the Washington Post, or the media, there is information here that we all must know and understand.
Start with the 10:43 video overview by clicking on the link below. Then, if you want to know more of the details of this morning’s Washington Post investigation, continue with the written parts of the article:

The one element that is missing from a successful “pushback” is one angry smart Senator. The Angry ones are not smart enough and the Smart ones are oh so very polite and well-spoken.
Everything done in DC is now so finely sifted and refined and analyzed that no one, and I do mean no one, has the huevos (hey, hens have eggs too) to take on the 3-5 year mission to bring about a tacit but very real declaration of war and then effectively create and push the strategy to teach Russia (and those waiting with bated breath to try it on their favorite enemies) to never do that again. It will be war and Putin is getting ready but his read is that Trump, who might get mad enough, will be utterly unable to do anything because he is screamingly incompetent and that no one else will do anything. Is this the way the world ends, is this the way the world ends…..
That is what makes the current focus on Trump/Russia so dangerous; it allows the political moral coward the way to say he is doing something important when he/she focuses on Trump (the incompetent enemy) when what he/she is really doing is ignoring the very real, very hard problem of RUSSIA/AMERICA and what to do about the deadly enemy.
