Loved the first one! He really always was a Connecticut preppie!
(I grew up there, just down the street from where he lived)

I will make a comment about my favorite caption: “Always/Forever a Preppy”. In order to understand why I thought that was such a perfect response, I think you had to be brought up in that time and environment– kind of resenting, while also admiring the indomitability of preppiness: pink sox or ties defiintely fit the image–this was daring and indicated a savoir-faire reserved for the privileged–
It always bugged me that George H.W. was regarded as a true Texan, when his roots were definitely Connecticut blue-blood–(his father being the Senator from Connecticut for years) and Kennebunkport was the place to vacation for that particular group–
Anyway, this little exercise has made me confront my own deep-seated biases!! Wow, i had no idea they ran so deep!!

Got to go with #4. But as an aside, anyone notice that the pants legs appear to be different colors?

OK, I vote for “Forever a Preppy.” I found it a tough choice, though. They were all the fruit of brilliant, twisted minds, which I greatly appreciate.
